Perhaps we were naïve in thinking our first experience of sub-zero degrees would be when we hit the mountains in Bulgaria or in the desert. However, it’s mid September and we have all our clothes on at night, and are waking up to a frosty tent. Luckily it doesn’t take long to warm up during the day, and we’re still enjoying the sun and warm weather that seems to be following us along the Danube.
