Dmitry’s rakia

Late one afternoon we found ourselves in the small village of Tsalapitsa, and came across Dmitry and his family from Ukraine. They kindly agreed to let us camp in their garden for the night and invited us to join them for dinner. Dmitry showed us how he makes his own Rakia which can sometimes be up to 70% proof 🤯! His wife makes a much more sweet and mild version using cherries. We had a lovely evening under the grape vines tasting rakia and practising English with his daughter.
