The first signs of Autumn

As we meander along the Kocher and Brenz rivers, we find the first signs of Autumn (including our first day of rain since leaving Yorkshire ☔️). We came across the crystal blue pool which is the source of the Brenz. Multicoloured corn, squash and pumpkins are sold on every street corner, but sadly not practical for our tiny stove. We were lucky enough to try these delights when we were invited by Maggie our warmshowers host to join her dinner party, where she cooked up a delicious three course pumpkin feast! Within five minutes of sitting down to dinner we had made some new friends, and spent the evening trying to avoid the topics of conversation her friends had researched as those you should not discuss with Brits (politics, religion and the war!)
